Salesforce Certification Study Day
Going for my Salesforce Associate and AI Associate certs before year's end.
So, I know in my last post I talked all about JavaScript, JQuery and XML. But after taking, and passing, three Salesforce Associate practice exams this week, I'm probably ready to schedule the official exam and get my first Salesforce cert.
Told you I'm all over the place!
The No-Method Method
I work for a Salesforce App Partner that develops higher ed tech on the platform. When I first joined them a few years ago I had no Salesforce experience — I learned on the fly.
I wish I could say I followed some sort of proven method, but really I've just chipped away at the platform a little bit at a time from multiple angles.
Specifically I've been:
- Keeping my eyes and ears open at work
- Updating my company's help documentation through multiple release cycles
- Pursuing free training on Trailhead, and
- Following courses on Udemy, Pluralsight and LinkedIn Learning.
Eventually, this type of scattershot approach generates cumulative knowledge.
